I wish to write a Christmas list
And add a very special twist
It won't be like most lists you've seen
Written by an American teen
I'll write down friends who don't believe
And pray for Christmas they receive
Not something that can be hung on a rack
Or something that can be taken back
Not something to toy with, play with or tease
Not something to hug, cuddle or squeeze
It's something one can feel
It's very obvious when it's real
It's Jesus' love, passion and zeal!
If you want I'll add your friends there
And in order to be fair
I'll write down names one by one
And I won't quit until I'm done
And if you do agree
Please pray this prayer with me
"Thank you, Lord, for giving this gift to me.
Please help me share it liberally
Help them recognize
And see with their own eyes
That it was for them You had to bleed
And it is You they need"
