Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 1 Cor 1:26-27 (NIV) God shames the wise and the strong of this world to make sure that I have nothing to brag. Nothing at all! If my IQ, talents, charms and persuasive talk alone could accomplish His work, then, God is pretty lucky to have me working for Him. He should thank me instead. Perhaps, it is only when I, at the end of my wits, when I need to beg Him for wisdom then I could begin to be a vessel He could use.
