Feeding Time
On a very cold, snowy Sunday in February, only the pastor and one farmer arrived at the village church. The pastor said, "Well, I guess we won't have a service today."
The farmer replied: "Shucks, if even only one cow shows up at feeding time, I feed it."
What would you do???
Imagine this happening to you. Would you run or would you stay?...
One Sunday morning during service, a 2,000 member congregation was surprised to see two men enter, both covered from head to toe in black and carrying submachine guns.
One of the men proclaimed, "Anyone willing to take a bullet for Christ remain where you are." Immediately, the choir fled, the deacons fled, and most of the congregation fled. Out of the 2,000, there only remained around 20.
The man who had spoken took off his hood, looked at the preacher and said,
"Okay Pastor, I got rid of all the hypocrites. Now you may begin your service. Have a nice day!"
And the two men turned and walked out.
Too deep not to pass along...
Who's doing what???
This is a story about four people named EVERYBODY, SOMEBODY, ANYBODY and NOBODY.
There was an important job to be done and EVERYBODY was sure that SOMEBODY would do it.
ANYBODY could have done it, but NOBODY did it. SOMEBODY got angry about that, because it was EVERYBODY'S job. EVERYBODY thought ANYBODY could do it, but NOBODY realized that EVERYBODY wouldn't do it.
It ended up that EVERYBODY blamed SOMEBODY when NOBODY did what ANYBODY could have done.
