Happy Thanksgiving 1999
We have much to be thankful for....Amen!!

"We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near." --Psalm 75:1

A THANKSGIVING PRAYER

Thank you God for letting me take part
in this fascinating journey called life,
thank you for each sunrise and sunset
and for the magic of your incredible universe.

Thank you Lord for beautiful flowers,
for birds of song, for the ability to love
and be loved and for my reasonable good health.

Thank you God for good friends,
good books, beautiful works of art
and special things you do for me
everyday of my life.

Thank you Lord for life's simple pleasures:
a nice trip, a breath taking vista,
a good movie, a tasty meal, and the ability
to dance and listen to beautiful music.

Thank you Lord for the ability to
help others in their time of need,
for rays of sunshine, for flickering stars
and for each warm and friendly smile.

Thank you Lord for keeping our
family together through good and bad times
and for the bond between parents and children,
brothers and sisters, husbands and wives.

But most of all,
Thank you Lord for the privilege
of being well and alive at this moment
and for giving me the ability
to write these humble words of praise.

THANKS

Sometimes we are too busy to say thanks...

Lord, thank you for this sink of dirty dishes; we have plenty of food to eat.

Thank you for this pile of dirty, stinky laundry; we have plenty of nice clothes to wear.

And I would like to thank you, Lord, for those unmade beds; they were so warm and comfortable last night. I know that many have no bed.

My thanks to you, Lord, for this bathroom, complete with all the splattered mirrors, soggy, grimy towels and dirty lavatory; they are so convenient.

Thank you for this finger-smudged refrigerator that needs defrosting so badly; It has served us faithfully for many years. It is full of cold drinks and enough leftovers for two or three meals.

Thank you, Lord, for this oven that absolutely must be cleaned today. It has baked so many things over the years.

The whole family is grateful for that tall grass that needs mowing, the lawn that needs raking; we all enjoy the yard.

Thank you, Lord, even for that slamming screen door. My kids are healthy and able to run and play.

Lord, the presence of all these chores awaiting me says You have richly blessed my family. I shall do them cheerfully and I shall do them gratefully.

I AM THANKFUL FOR...

..the mess to clean after a party because it means I have been surrounded by friends.

..the taxes I pay because it means I am employed.

..the clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat.

..a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home.

..my shadow who watches me work because it means I am out in the sunshine.

..the spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking.

..all the complaining about our government because it means we have freedom of speech.

..my large heating bill because it means I am warm.

..the lady behind me in church who sings off key because it means that I can hear.

..the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means I am alive.

..the piles of laundry and ironing because it means my loved ones are nearby.

..weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day because it means I have been productive.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Our Thanksgiving prayer......

Heavenly Father, Above all else I thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to die for our sins and for offering eternal life and heaven to all who believe in Him and receive Him as their Savior and Lord!

Thank you God, for the free gift of salvation we have received and for raising us to walk in the abundant newness of life you provide in Him!

Thank You Lord for all of these wonderful people who support this web ministry of ours. We couldn't do this without Your blessing and the way You bless us with their encouragement and support!

And, thank You Lord for just loving us unconditionally!!!

In Jesus name I pray, Amen...

Thanksgiving thought

Here is a thought for this week of Thanksgiving.
"The very quality of your life, whether you love it or hate it, is based upon how thankful you are toward God." -- Francis Frangipane

Think about it! Oh yes, be thankful and watch your life change!

Today you were in my thoughts and I prayed for you...

Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior?.... If not, why not now?
