If I was to tell you a Peanuts Cartoon story today, it would have a universal understanding. Most of us grew up with Peanuts. We watched the Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas specials on T.V. I like the Peanuts cartoons because they can teach us many good things about everyday living. Charles Schulz even once said, "...if you do not say anything in a cartoon, you might as well not draw it at all. Humor which does not say anything is worthless humor. So I contend that a cartoonist must be given a chance to do his own preaching." He did a lot of good preaching in the book titled, "The Gospel According to Peanuts." A couple of million copies of that book have been sold. The Peanuts cartoons have a universal appeal.
But even more striking is that God has given us a universal message through Jesus Christ. Jesus brought us a message of love and peace. Almost everyone in our world wants to be loved and to live in peace. We can know this love and peace, when we come to know the author, Jesus Christ, in a personal way.
