A thought from Jason

Guess who you belong to?
The title of this "thought" must have raised a question that you could answer within seconds.
I want to tell you a story. Today, as I was leaving my house to get my hair chopped off, after two months of being at college, I noticed something that hit home with me. There was a boy across the street and he was kicking a football around. Now you would think he was playing with someone, but he wasn't. This grabbed my attention as I waited to pull out onto my street. I just sat there watching his facial expressions. He didn't look too happy with his free time. I'd bet you anything that he would have liked to have someone play with him.
Now that I think about that, if I hadn't had been in such a hurry, I would have liked to go over there and play with him. You see, I am an only child to two wonderful parents. But sometimes, throughout my growing up years, I felt very lonely. Why you ask? Because while my friends were at home playing, or most of the time arguing with their brothers or sisters, I was that boy out there in the street kicking the ball to myself. I wondered what the boy thought as he kicked the ball, only to find no one there to catch it. I wonder if he felt as I felt?
You see, as I watched him, the Lord tugged at my heart. Even though you might feel like no one is next to you, He is. And when you want to belong to someone, He invites you to know that He wants you to belong to Him. I'm sure the boy had parents. Or, maybe he didn't, I don't know, but God does. And He knows you better than any human could ever understand.
God wants you to know that today you can belong to Him. Maybe you've never given that much thought and perhaps He's tugging at your heart right now. Then I invite you to ask the Lord Jesus into your heart today.
Just tell Him: "Jesus, I want to belong to you. You are the Creator of my life. I believe You died for me and live today to give me eternal life. Forgive me for my sins and help me follow you all the days of my life. Be my Lord, my Savior and friend. Thank you that my sin is forgiven and for knowing I'll never be alone again." In Jesus' name I pray. Amen
Pray that prayer today please.
And if you have forgotten about belonging to God, just take a moment and tell God. Tell Him: "Thank you for loving me Lord, and let me realize that I belong to you, and when no one can play with me, You always will." In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
God waits for you to come to Him and say let's talk. He lives for that; trust me.
That little boy didn't have a friend to play with but I know who was watching him; don't you? When you feel alone, know that you are not; Jesus is close to the lonely. He hears the cry of the brokenhearted and He knows whatever your experiencing. He loves you, repeat this statement and let it sink in… I belong to Jesus… I belong to Jesus… Smile, He loves you.
38 "For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Isaiah 44:5 " This one will say, " I am the Lords"; And that one will call on the name of Jacob; And another will write on his hand, Belonging to the Lord, And will name Israel's name with honor."
Have a blessed day.... Jason
