The water that never dissipates...
I ask you this today, has your life become stagnant? Has your relationship with God become a walk that strays off the beat and path whenever trials hit you across the face? Or is your walk an open friendship with our Savior Jesus Christ.
John 4:13-15 " Jesus answered, "everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." The woman said to Him, Sir give me this water so that I wont get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water."
Now I ask you, do you have a source in God that flows from the depths of His heart to yours. Or has your life become something that only you want to control. Your water will become algae infested, pain stricken and hate ridden. See the important part of that story is that Jesus told her to repent from having many husbands or men that she was giving herself to. Jesus then said to her that she needed His living water, which is eternal life. Do you need it today? Has your life become so pain stricken so burdensome that the only thing that you depend on is that stagnant pool of tasteless drainoff from the enemy himself. I tell you what, why don't you trust in Him again and rely on him and from the confession of your mouth will flow the springs that will not only fulfill everything that you need in a joyful life but it will feed others through your witness of the love that never gives up on you. That love will flow to you with a power that only God can reveal and give to you.
Yesterday I went to the beach with my Bible study that I teach at my college. I went for a walk by myself and I asked God to speak to me. I asked for His living water and you know what He always grants our requests according to what a He wants for us. I walked barefoot down the jetty until I reached a path leading into the water. I carefully stepped unto the huge jagged rock until I could see nothing but ocean in front of me. I sat down and waited for God to reveal to me what He would wanted to tell me.
Have you today, asked God to talk to you? Try it. It's an experience you will never forget. I looked at the crashing waves and I was humbled. God controls the waves in front of me and He also has the time to sit down with me and share what He would have to tell me. I looked off into the dark crevasses of the rocks farthest away from the waves and saw a pool of algae. The pool of stagnant water could hardly be seen but the waves were getting to it closer and closer. I pictured that as an analogy to us. We might have lost that connection with our creator by clouding our surroundings with distractions, Think, what are you easily distracted by? Even today I bet you and I have strayed away from the Savior.
The great part of that revelation God gave me was this: A huge wave came up from the bay and washed the algae completely out of its crevasses and assimilated it back into the depths of the fresh living ocean.
God wants you back today, Wholly and completely He loves you and wants you to be His again. Because His love never runs dry. So can you see the wave coming, He's coming for you.......
Have a blessed day.... Jason
